Look back to the earliest Adam and Eve who disobeyed God’s word to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, then there came sin within man. Sin doesn’t refer to a specific deed of sin but a state in man’s disposition that keeps opposing God. For instances, Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, Cain killed his old brother Abel due to his envy. All this proves that if there is sin within man, then his deeds will be filled with evil. Due to the existence of sin, the original good relationship between mankind and God breaks up, and thus humanity becomes the enemy of God. Then how can we escape the bondage of sin?
