I trust everyone’s familiar with the parable of the lost sheep in the Bible. The Lord Jesus used this parable to very vividly tell us about God’s love for mankind and to allow us to feel how sincere God’s desire to save mankind is. The Lord Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27). We believers in the Lord follow Him because we recognize that He is the true God from His words. For example, Peter, Nathanael, and Matthew didn’t know the Lord Jesus before they met Him, but they followed Him after they heard the Lord’s voice. Later, they also recognized from the Lord Jesus’ word and work that He is the promised Messiah. The Bible says, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20). It can be seen that if we can recognize God’s voice, we will be able to welcome the Lord.
In today’s society, there are all different kinds of major enterprises and there seems to be a myriad of employment opportunities, but year after year, college graduates are a dime a dozen. The market of qualified employment candidates is so overcrowded you can’t gain a foothold, so the difficulty of finding employment after graduation has become a very practical problem. For every young person on the cusp of entering society after school, the most headache-inducing issue that they have to face is finding work, particularly at a good company. Everyone puts on their best face and racks their brains trying to squeeze their way in—the competition and pressure are intense. I, approaching graduation, had no choice but to face the plight of finding a job just like everybody else. Today is a sunny day, I took a walk with my daughter. On the way, we came across our neighbor Kelly who was tiredly carrying much stuff heading for her home. Seeing us, she stopped. I then asked her what’s happened, for she didn’t attend the fellowship last week. Kelly answered, “Ella, these days I’ve worn out both physically and mentally. I lost my job and have been looking anywhere for a new job, but I can’t find a suitable one by far yet. I even more miss my domestic parents. A topic that deserves to discuss: Have all God’s work and words recorded in the Bible? Many believers in the Lord always think: The Bible were things that God had inspired, it represents God, the words in the Bible are all God’s work and words, holding onto the Bible can allow us to gain salvation and enter the kingdom of heaven, and departing from the Bible is to leave and betray the Lord.
