Prophecies of Jesus Second Coming have long been fulfilled, but why have we not met the Lord yet?

2000 years ago, when the Lord Jesus' disciples asked what signs there will be when the Lord descends and when it's the end of the world, the Lord Jesus said, "And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows" (Matthew 24:6-8).
Today, disasters across the world get more and more severe, such as floods in India, the blood-red skies in Indonesia, fires in the Amazon rain forest, strong typhoons in Japan, etc. In addition, African swine fever has spread in many countries; the Hong Kong riots have shocked the world; the China-US trade war has continued to escalate…
From all these signs, it can be seen that the prophecies of the last days said by the Lord have been fulfilled one by one. Obviously, the last days have come and the Lord Jesus should already be back. The Bible said, "And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory" (Luke 21:27). The Lord should descend with clouds and appear to us, but why does it take so long for us to receive the return of the Lord? Could it be that there is still other way for the Lord to come? What kind of mysteries exactly are there in this matter?
